In the words of the Honorable Prime Minister of our country, this period (2022-47) is the nectar of independence. In the eyes of the opposition parties of the ruling class, this is the 'Friendly period' (the period of crony capitalism). But in this period, the representatives of the working people have started hearing the call of emergency and they have started seeing clearly the two forms of economics and politics. On one hand, the pot of nectar is being poured on the nexus of domestic and foreign capitalists, while on the other hand, workers, farmers and the poor of all oppressed groups are being forced to drink the poisoned cup.
Every weapon of state repression is being used to suppress every voice rising against it. At the same time, efforts are also being made to make people drink the opium of fundamentalist Hindutva so much that they either become rioters or forget their troubles or even if they remember, they will not be able to raise their voice. These are the special features of today's era where the nexus of capital, politics, religion and crime world is clearly visible. It is the central responsibility of the youth to make the working and oppressed people aware and organize them in the field of struggle against this alliance.
The above mentioned reactionary alliance is the contribution of British imperialism in the politics of our country which is flourishing even today. In the last eight-nine years of RSS-backed BJP rule, this alliance has flourished faster than at any other time since independence. Keeping this situation in mind and remembering the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev as a source of inspiration for the revolution, when we consider the responsibilities of the youth in today's era, there are many similarities between the then situation of the British Raj and today's situation. Become visible and it seems that their teachings are relevant even today. In the pamphlet 'Manifesto of the Hindustan Socialist Republic Association' distributed in the Lahore session of the Congress (19 December, 1929), the association had made it clear that the Indian capitalists had cheated the Indian people and got some share in the government as the price of betrayal from the foreign capitalists. wants to receive; For this reason, all the hopes of the working people are now pinned only on socialism and only the youth can fulfill this task. Undoubtedly, he understood that the Indian capitalist class could not represent a complete opposition to imperialism and the complete interests of the people of the country. In this situation, it is clear that when he was talking about the youth, he had in mind the children of the working people whose interests were naturally linked to socialism and then the intellectuals who were ready to live and die to achieve this goal.
His views regarding religion were equally clear. In the manifesto of Naujawan Bharat Sabha, Lahore, they declare in very clear words that religious superstition and fanaticism are big obstacles to our progress. They have proved to be obstacles in our path and we must get rid of them at any cost. Highlighting its dangerous side, he says that the foreign enemy always takes advantage of the conservative and fanaticism of Hindus, fanaticism of Muslims and attachment to other countries and generally narrow outlook of people of all communities etc. The meaning of these things is very clear that the more the influence of foreign capital increases, the more will grow the crop of religious fanaticism, the more intense will be the attacks on independent thoughts and the stronger will be the threat of fascist dictatorship.
There is a need to understand today's times in the light of the above two announcements of the association. This will be the key to determining workload. The predictions of the future that Bhagat Singh and his comrades had made in the then situation proved to be true at the time of independence from British imperialism on August 15, 1947, that is, the country had apparently become independent, but the economy, politics and culture remained the same. But the grip of imperialism remained indirectly. The result was that despite the anti-people agreement between the British Raj and Indian capitalism, there was a drastic change in the country's economy and politics. Now the reins of power had directly come into the hands of the alliance of big capitalists and big feudal landlords, the key of which indirectly remained with the imperialist powers. In later days, under the pressure of the peasant movement and to suit the needs of capitalist development, feudal relations changed and the agricultural system began to be dominated by kulaks and rich farmers.
When we talk about today's era, it means the era of neo-liberalism i.e. the era of new economic policy after 1990. For the generation that has grown up in this period of more than thirty years, the earlier concept of the welfare state has become a thing of the past. This new era (actually thirty-thirty-five years old) started in a very aggressive manner. On one hand, all the obstacles to the entry of foreign capital (say, financial capital of imperialist countries) into the country were being removed, while on the other hand, all the trade union rights of the workers were being taken away. Thus, during this period, preparations had begun to give free rein to the nexus of domestic and foreign capital to plunder the labor and natural resources of the country. There was opposition to this policy at that time and the public was told that the new economic policy was a document of new slavery, but that resistance did not become widespread and strong enough to restrain the government. The pre-condition for making Bhagat Singh and his martyrdom meaningful by establishing socialism is that the youth of the country should inculcate the compromising character of the big capitalists in the minds of the people. This is his first assignment.
In line with this economic policy, a politics was also developing at that time whose aim was to push the true politics of class struggle into the background and bring other aspects of caste, religion and identity politics to the fore. Under a well-planned conspiracy, on the one hand, the ground for radical Hindutva was being prepared by giving political air to the Ram Temple dispute, while on the other hand, an attempt was being made to create caste polarization by equating the reservation dispute. This new upsurge had created serious social upheaval in the Hindi heartland. Due to this the feudal culture weakened, but the influence of imperialism continued to increase. In the initial phase of this conflict, it seemed that ethnic unity would outweigh religious polarization, but the situation immediately changed and the period of breaking and formation of new ethnic alliances began. The political scenario changed as a result of this social upheaval. The dominance of the neo-rich of Dalits and backward castes in imperialist capitalist politics increased and their political stake in power became stronger.
With this, the era of emergence of a new political equation began. By the latter half of the 1990s, the period of political isolation of the BJP ended and in 1998, a coalition government was formed at the Center on the basis of a minimum program under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At that time the issues of Ram Mandir and Article 370 were kept separate from it. But the government formed in 2014 under the leadership of Narendra Modi has become a government of staunch Hindutva. Although this government had come to power with a pro-people attitude on issues like unemployment, inflation and corruption, yet on the basis of the experience of Gujarat riots, the revolutionary and democratic forces were apprehensive that this government would move rapidly in the direction of Hindutva dictatorship and the same Happened.
Following the footsteps of Golwalkar and Savarkar, this government first intensified its attack on leftist and Dalit intellectuals. Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, MM Kalburgi, murder of Gauri Lankesh and suicide of Rohit Vemula (actually institutional murder) are important names in this series. Like Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, who was killed at the hands of communal forces during the British Raj, the names of these people will also be written in the golden letters of history. Immediately after that, in the name of cow protection, between 2015-18, about 44 people were systematically killed by the mob, of which the number of Muslims was about 36. It was a planned attack on leftists, Dalits and minorities (especially Muslims and Christians) with the aim of bringing dictatorship.
These attacks had two objectives: to terrorize opponents and to strengthen communal polarization among the public. Sangh Parivar was also successful in the second objective and it got its benefit in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. After winning with an even bigger majority, the BJP government started systematic attacks from the state. Abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and dividing it into two parts and declaring it a Union Territory and CAA were the most brutal attacks in this direction. Jammu and Kashmir remained a prison for the people for a long time, but there was no active opposition to it in the country. At the same time, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) came into force, which was strongly opposed. The grandmothers of Shaheen Bagh had become the heroines of this struggle. During the Covid pandemic, laborers suffering from government neglect were forced to walk thousands of kilometers to come home, people kept dying due to lack of oxygen and other medicines, and the government and its pet media kept creating communal polarization by targeting Tablighi Jamaat.
In this period, three agricultural laws were made with the aim of auctioning the agricultural sector to domestic and foreign capitalists, against which the farmers fought a life-and-death struggle and won. But the struggle on the question of remunerative price is still going on. Similarly, four labor codes are ready against the workers but are not being implemented. In summary, complete preparations have been made to take steps towards imposing fascism by strangulating democracy in the country, against which it is the biggest responsibility of the youth to stand up.
The country has faced the attack of fascism before also. But today the situation has taken a U turn. The Congress, which imposed fascism at that time, is today measuring the road from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and is shouting for democracy. At the same time, the BJP government, a transformed form of Jan Sangh which stood against fascism, is imposing fascism. Its lesson is very clear. No imperialist capitalist party in the country can fight a complete war against fascism. This work can be completed only under the leadership of the revolutionary party of the working class. In such a situation, three responsibilities arise before the youth:
To make the workers conscious and organize them as a class and bring them into the field of struggle.
Building worker-farmer (especially poor farmers) alliance and
To build broad democratic unity by uniting all oppressed groups around the worker-peasant alliance.
Only on the strength of this broad unity can the threat of fascism be dealt with by destroying imperialism and all the reactionary forces standing in its support and by fulfilling the dreams of Bhagat Singh and his comrades, the rule of the working people and socialism can be built. .
The Class View of Democracy
-Dr. Ramkavindra
After the dismissal of 146 opposition MPs in the winter session of Parliament, a heated debate has erupted among capitalist intellectuals. The issue is the Modi government's incremental move towards dictatorship (fascism). As per their habit, while explaining past dictatorships, these intellectuals attack Hitler on the one hand and put Lenin, Stalin, Mao on the category of dictators on the other.
This is at a time when the Marxist camp is gearing up with full dedication for a massive front against the fascist forces of the Modi-led RSS-BJP. Even in the past, the Soviet Union led by Stalin waged the most consistent struggle against the fascist axis of Hitler, Mussolini and Tozo. But there is a fundamental difference between the two situations. The Soviet Union was then at the center of this struggle, but today the Communist camp is marginal.
Mao's quote comes to mind when we see the behavior of capitalist intellectuals in our country. He used to say about China's national capitalist class that the policy of this class is twofold - attack the imperialists with the right fist and attack the communists with the left. There is no organized group of anti-imperialist national capitalists in our country, so their right fist cannot rise or rise strongly. And the anti-communist hatred of these intellectuals became much more bitter. It seems that their policy has become that fascism may exist, but revolutionary communists should not be allowed to emerge.
Communists like CPI, CPI(M) and even anti-capitalist parties, have joined the I.N.D.I.A alliance and are losing their support base and their prestige day by day. The condition of the revolutionary camp is also not very good. This camp, divided into many small parties and groups, stands unconditionally in favor of this alliance and is silent or neglecting to raise its voice against this vile anti-communist propaganda.
The biggest problem with the capitalist intelligentsia in our country is that they are not ready to learn anything from the plight of their forefathers. Hitler's rise was also supported by the imperialist powers of the time, who were later forced to join the anti-fascist struggle. Initially they expected monsters like Hitler and Mussolini to destroy the Soviet Union but keep wagging their tails in front of them. This illusion was shattered only when they were awakened by the infernal form of Hitler and forced to join hands with the Soviet Union against him. On the contrary, Stalin believed from the very beginning that the destruction of fascist power was possible only through the joint struggle of the People's Front, i.e. all anti-fascist forces.
This is what happened and the anti-imperialist forces around the world benefited from it. Fascist powers were destroyed, colonial powers were forced to retreat and our country gained partial independence as a result. Looking at the facts of history, there will be no room for doubt that the world communist movement led by Stalin was defending the capitalist democracy by standing against the fascist dictatorship. Communists know very well that capitalist democracy provides ideal conditions for the development of proletarian revolution. In fact, the dictatorship of the proletariat is the best form of democracy in which the working people have the most rights. Capitalist and petty capitalist intellectuals do not like this situation because of their class point of view. This is the real reason for their hatred.
The biggest weakness of our country's capitalist democracy is its imperialism. In this sense, the freedom of the country is also limited and capitalist democracy is also limited. Those who hold the reins of the country today have served the British by supporting Mussolini and Hitler instead of participating in the freedom struggle. So why be surprised if his disciples and fans praise Hitler? We fear that they will make the plight of their country worse than what Hitler did to them.
It is therefore necessary to oppose them, but it is equally important to oppose the anti-communist propaganda issued by the capitalist intelligentsia. Remember the lessons of history, the working class must fight the final and decisive battle against imperialism and fascism. No matter how winding and long his path. Therefore, neglecting our long-term agenda will inevitably lead us to opportunism.

There is a ruckus going on in the country's Parliament these days. The second round of the budget session started from March 13, but not even a single day of work was done. Yesterday, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha broke all limits of capitalist parliamentary decorum and stifled the voice of the Parliament itself. The members' mics were muted.
Lenin used to call the capitalist parliament a den of scoundrels. But here in the Indian Parliament, the mouths of the opposition have been put under the "lock of patriotism", they cannot even gossip. What a travesty of capitalist democracy this is!
Samuel Johnson's famous quote, 'Patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels', rings true here. His jibe was at fake patriotism. The scene is similar here also.
There is noise that Rahul has "insulted" the country by accusing Cambridge University of stifling democracy in the country. Earlier, BBC's documentary on 2002 Gujarat Muslim massacre was banned saying that it was an attack on the sovereignty of the country. The Hindenburg report on the Adani scam was also called an attack on the country. It seems that patriotism is a political commodity lying in the stock of Adani and his supporting leaders which they can sell in the market as per their convenience.
Let us remind you that two years ago (in 2021), the American organization Freedom House had reduced India's freedom and democracy status and put it in the category of partial democracy. He also criticized American democracy, but he was not accused of treason in America. Before this, during the Covid period, researchers at Sweden's V Dam University were hardly able to consider Indian democracy as democracy. This is India's status among the capitalist democracies of the world.
Our rulers adopt double standards in such evaluations. When they are praised, these thinkers become democratic and valuable, but when they are criticized, they become colonialists. Therefore it has to be said that there is a huge flaw in the democracy of our country.
After the allegations against Rahul Gandhi, Congress has also stood firm in the field. Videos of the Prime Minister's boastful statements in many countries like South Korea, China, Japan, Canada etc. have surfaced in which India before he came to power has been described as a destitute poor. In this context, what Samuel Johnson says about these great people seems right.
Actually, the government and the opposition are adamant on their views. The ruling party is demanding that Rahul Gandhi apologize for 'insulting the country' with his speech at Cambridge University and the opposition is already demanding that the Prime Minister give a statement on the Adani scam case and a Joint Parliamentary Committee should be formed to investigate it. be formed.
It's a strange situation! On one hand, Rahul Gandhi's allegations are being confirmed by muting the Parliament and on the other hand, pressure is being put on him to apologize. Yesterday's incident has revealed to the whole world that Rahul's allegation of muting the mics of opposition MPs is true, so what is there to apologize for now? To tell the truth?
Yesterday's incident has exposed another ugly truth of capitalist politics, how much the country's politics has changed. In 1975, Congress under the leadership of Indira Gandhi represented dictatorship and RSS was raising the voice of struggle against it. Today's truth is that Sangh Parivar is representing dictatorship under the leadership of its political outfit BJP and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is marching from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. At that time Congress was stifling the voice of the opposition, today Narendra Modi of BJP is stifling the voice of Rahul. It is obvious that none of them is a reliable protector of democracy.
There has also been a huge change in world politics. The world at that time was divided into two camps under the dominance of America and the Soviet Union (imperialist and social imperialist) and the Indian government had become a strong pillar of the Soviet camp. By dividing Pakistan in the 1971 war with the help of her master, Indira Gandhi became the 'incarnation of Durga' and this title was given to her by the then Jan Sangh President Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
On the other hand, in 1974, the spark of the student movement was rising, which took the form of a nationwide fire under the leadership of Jayaprakash Narayan and the opposition parties were eyeing a chance to earn their living in it. Emergency gave that opportunity. At present we will not go into the details of why and how the Emergency was lifted, but in the elections that followed, electoral unity was quickly established under the leadership of JP and Indira Gandhi was ousted from power.
Today world politics is going through a phase of transition. The dream of exclusive American dominance over the world is being shattered, but the dominance of the new pole of China-Russia has not been established. Its impact is beginning to be seen on the emerging crisis in India. In the form of an intensifying conflict between dictatorship and democracy.
In this situation, election of someone between the capitalist side and the opposition can provide immediate relief, but the final battle will be fought only under the leadership of revolutionary and anti-imperialist democratic forces. - Kavindra
- Dr. Ramkavindra
Kavita Krishnan's resignation from CPI(ML) (Liberation) and her campaign against socialism and Marxism have been given a lot of attention by the capitalist media and social media. Her interview was run on BBC and YouTube and based on her words in 'The Wire' In our country, a complete
In this light, we will also have to see to what extent the contagion of this disease has affected the revolutionary camp and is affecting it and what will be its treatment? Kavita Krishnan is neither the first intellectual to attack socialism in the guise of Stalin, nor will she be the last, but the facts and arguments she draws on have already been used by her revisionist predecessors, and all of them are well-worn. -They are beaten and old.
The writer of 'The Wire', in the name of poetry, prepared a list of their Indian ancestors and explained in gestures what their fate had been and what their fate would be.
All the "scholars" who went on this path could not give any new theory other than Marxism-Leninism. On the contrary, the Lohia socialism which was dominant in the 1960s has also died down and transformed into a casteist, family based group. Meanwhile, the Ambedkarite card is gone, but despite the collapse of the stronghold of Ambedkarism in the capitalist camp, many revisionists and (some revolutionary groups too) are busy chanting it!
The silence of the revisionists (capitalist leftists) during this entire debate also has a special meaning. Remember, during the Naxalbari peasant revolt and Naxalite uprising, how capitalist thinkers and revisionist intellectuals together tried to abort the fetus of this revolution. How he was defamed by calling him an anarchist and an agent of China! In the states where his government was in power, he took an active part in the repression.
Today, if only capitalist intellectuals are vocal and the revisionists are silent, then it means two things. Firstly, this crisis is the crisis of the revisionist camp and secondly, today the need of these great personalities for the capitalist class has reduced considerably or has ended.
From this change, revolutionary intellectuals should conclude that this is the era of disintegration of the revisionist camp and instead of crying over it, we should search for the path of development of Marxism with full concentration. Therefore, the purpose of our intervention in this debate is to keep the morale of our colleagues and the leading section of the working people high by making them aware of the true facts. In fact, the deepest crisis on socialism and Marxism in the whole world came in 1956 when the struggle against it started under the leadership of Khrushchev and the Soviet Union, the base area of world revolution, became the center of counter-revolution. At that time, these revisionists continued to flourish in our country in the name of communism. There were two reasons for this: the presence of Soviet social imperialism at the world level and the involvement of Indian capitalism and its state power in the Soviet camp during Indira Raj at the national level.
Today the situation of their disintegration has arisen because both the above mentioned bases have been destroyed. Soviet imperialism has disintegrated and India's capitalist class is now firmly aligned with American imperialism, which does not feel the need for a capitalist left. After the fall of China under the leadership of Deng, they got an international base but it is neither as strong as the Khrushchev Soviet Union nor does it have the same prestige. From one perspective, this period has enriched the science of Marxism. He made us understand that socialism can be built only on the basis of subordination to the proletariat. Remember, Lenin had laid the foundation of socialism in backward Russia with the help of state capitalism, which Stalin carried forward and strengthened, because both of them were exercising the dictatorship of the proletariat.
On the contrary, Khrushchev strangled the dictatorship of the proletariat in the Soviet Union and started his work with the help of the capitalist remains present in the era of socialism and the elements of capitalism started flourishing in it. By 1991, classical capitalism had fully matured there and it created a capitalist power as per its needs, which is working as an imperialist dictatorship under the leadership of Putin. This means that under the dictatorship of the proletariat, state capitalism can move in the direction of socialism, but under capitalist dictatorship it strengthens the base of capitalism. We are surprised when Kavita Krishnan and her revisionist ancestors nowhere mention the names of Soviet traitors like Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Andropov and Gorbachev, neither in condemnation nor in praise. But his work cannot do without condemning Marx-Engels, Lenin and Stalin. The biggest reason for this is that their masters, the capitalist class, know that why should the names of the above garbage of history be mentioned when they have become useless!
On the other hand, he also knows that as long as the working class exists, the names of the thinkers and leaders from Marx to Stalin and Mao will remain immortal, therefore, let the fugitives of the Marxist camp blacken their names so that the workers without class consciousness are left with a dilemma. Can be put in. Kavita is playing the same role. In this debate we will discuss the theoretical and political issues raised by Kavita and other revisionists.
Socialism cannot be imagined without Stalin - 2
(about the dictatorship of the proletariat)
- Dr. Ramkavindra
In the time of Karl Marx, the ghost of communism was haunting Europe, today his famous formula 'dictatorship of the proletariat' is equally (or even more) haunting the capitalists of the whole world. The reason for this is very clear. During Marx's time, this formula was only in the world of ideas, today it has come into practice and has also become a victim of the conspiracy of the traitors of this camp. Yet the capitalist class shudders remembering the experiments of Lenin, Stalin and Mao on dictatorship of the proletariat.
A debate on this concept broke out soon after the death of Engels, Marx's close friend and close associate. Eduard Bernstein, a well-known Marxist of his time, had said that the dictatorship of the proletariat was not a well-thought-out formula of Marx, he had used it in an accidental manner. This was betrayal of Marxism. The Marxists of that time had opened a broad front against him. Lenin had even given him the title of being the world's first opportunist.
Kavita Krishnan has talked with Ashok Kumar Pandey on YouTube channel in a similar manner in which Bernstein did. According to him, Marx, while portraying capitalist democracy as the dictatorship of the capitalist class, had also called proletarian democracy as the dictatorship of the proletariat. Thus, in their view it is merely a game of words and has no separate ideological and political significance. Going one step further, she also says that proletarian democracy should be more democratic than capitalist democracy. He is right in saying this, but it is also important to know when and how that situation will come.
They don't stop at just this. Going one step ahead of her ancestors, she makes very nasty allegations against the successful executors of the dictatorship of the proletariat in history. In fact, Bernstein did not have the practical experience and did not have the same huge storehouse of lies of capitalist thinkers that poetry has. But there is a problem with poetry. She sees only one side (negative) of Stalin and Mao's rule. In the entire list of allegations, she does not accept even a single work of Stalin which should be recorded in history as a good work. If this is not one-sidedness then what is it?
It is surprising that even in the eyes of Stalin's contemporary leader, the British Prime Minister and staunch anti-communist Churchill, many of Stalin's great achievements had made a mark. They accept that during his short reign, Stalin transformed Russia from a backward capitalist country into a modern country. But Kavita did not see all that. She blames the communists for the disease of one-sidedness from which she herself is suffering. In his view, only that was written by the capitalist thinkers, whom Marx had declared to be the porters of the pen (of the capitalists).
It is a matter of satisfaction that Manish Azad, in an article released on social media, has exposed the lies of capitalist scholars on the basis of which the poem stands. Despite disagreement on some aspects of Manish's analysis, in my view the article is factual and praiseworthy.
Now let us see what Marx-Engels thought about the dictatorship of the proletariat. For this, we can see the quotation of his words from the 'Manifesto of the Communist Party': - 'The proletariat will use its political power to gradually snatch away all the capital from the bourgeoisie and all the instruments of production as the state, i.e. the ruling class. In order to centralize it in the hands of the organized proletariat and to increase as quickly as possible the totality of the productive forces.'
Consider, didn't Lenin, Stalin and Mao do exactly the same thing! The gradual nationalization of the means of production in industry and agriculture in the Soviet Union was exactly what Marx Engels has written in the above lines.
See further, what Marx-Engels had to say on the methods of this work: - 'Undoubtedly, in the beginning this work cannot be carried out without absolute attacks on property rights, and on the conditions of bourgeois production; Therefore, it cannot be done without such attacks which seem economically impractical, but which exceed their limits in the course of development, making inevitable the further encroachment of the old social state (i.e. the capitalist state) and the system of production. They are essential as a means of bringing about a complete revolution.
Same question again. What else did the executors of the dictatorship of the proletariat do apart from 'an unbridled attack on the conditions of capitalist production'? Seeing and knowing all this, we have no reason left to believe Kavita ji that Marx had used 'dictatorship of the proletariat' as a literary term. Certainly he had a plan and a way to execute it.
Now the last part of Marx-Engels' point on which the poem emphasizes one-sidedly. In this view, she represents many petty capitalists sitting in communist parties. That idea is that the dictatorship of the proletariat becomes even more democratic than so-called capitalist democracy. Till now, none of the countries where revolution has taken place has been able to achieve the second destination described by Marx and Engels. At the same time, it is also true that without properly implementing the programs of the first level of autocratic power, entry into the second level is impossible. If poetry does not have the patience and courage to see and understand this truth of sociology, then what is the fault of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Mao in this?
- Dr. Ramkavindra
In the previous episode of this series, we saw the views of Marx and Engels in the Manifesto of the Communist Party regarding the dictatorship of the proletariat. In it, the two stages of power of the working class in the journey from capitalism to communism were discussed.
In the first stage, it has to attack the capitalist class and the social and economic conditions of capitalist production unbridled, and in the second stage, this dictatorship becomes even more democratic than capitalist democracy. Now the question is how does this progress of society happen and what are the physical conditions of that change?
Marx and Engels considered the power of the proletariat to be an essential part of the construction and development of socialism. In his Critique of the Program of the German Labor Party (known as the Critique of the Gotha Programme), Marx has given a very clear explanation of the dictatorship of the proletariat. He believes that:
'There is a period of revolutionary transformation between capitalism and communist society. Concurrent with this is also a period of political transition, in which the state cannot be anything other than the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat.
It is clear from this quote that what we call socialism is a period of change between capitalism and communism. In the above lines of the article published in the first part of the third volume of the collected works of Marx-Engels, the word 'revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat' has been given in bold letters. This shows how much emphasis they placed on their concept.
Secondly, it is also worth noting that this phrase has been used most often from Lenin till today in the ideological struggle against various types of opportunists. Given Marx-Engels's continued emphasis on this concept in the period from the Manifesto published in 1848 to this article (1875), it can be said that he had used it as a literary term (rhetoric). Certainly it cannot be said so. This concept was one of his unique discoveries in social science, on which he did not compromise. The break with the German Social Democratic Party was acceptable to him, but there was no compromise on it.
This clearly shows that by giving a rhetoic interpretation of this serious thought, the poem is either showing its ignorance or the excess of sycophancy of capitalism. In my view the second possibility is more likely.
Now let us come to the other side. Marx had divided the communist society into two parts: initial stage and higher stage. They openly admit that the existence of capitalist defects is inevitable in the first stage. This is the time when it has just emerged from the capitalist society after a long period of labour. This is the stage in which the dictatorship of the proletariat is inevitable. And it will remain mandatory until class discrimination is destroyed.
In this sequence, Marx reveals the specialties of the higher stage of communist society. Its first characteristic is that division of labor comes to an end. This means that the difference between the labor of farmers and laborers disappears, the difference between city and village disappears and the difference between physical labor and mental labor disappears.
The second characteristic of that society is that labor is no longer just a means of human life, but becomes a paramount necessity. That means it becomes the source of his happiness.
The third specialty of that society is that as a result of rapid development of productive forces, the speed of production and distribution of social wealth increases significantly. That is, production in the society has developed so much that every person can consume it as per his need.
Only after fulfilling those three conditions, the society will be able to come to a stage when it will be able to implement the program of 'from each according to his ability, to each according to his need'. Only in this society can the democracy of which Kavita ji is dreaming be implemented. They are not only dreaming, but are also blaming Stalin and Mao as to why they did not implement democracy like Aladdin's lamp in Soviet Union and China. But they are not understanding that to achieve this stage the society will have to go through the pain of struggle for a long time. Just like a woman has to go through labor pain to become a mother.
This is the Marxist development path to reach the stage of communism after the proletarian revolution. In this situation, Marx's famous formula 'annihilation of the state' may also be possible. But Marx-Engels did not say how long this transition period would be.
Danger of rise of fascism
(10th Jan. 2023)
- Dr. Ramkavindra
The riot created by supporters of former President Jair Bolsoniro in the Brazilian capital on January 8 is extremely condemnable. Donald Trump's supporters in America have performed a similar demonstration in January 2021. These incidents cannot be dismissed as isolated and exceptional incidents. On the contrary, a glimpse of a worldwide trend should be seen in these.
Although the incident in Brazil seems to be an example of the incident in America, but in one respect it also seems to have gone ahead of it. Brazil's right wing appealed to the military for open intervention and to take power into their own hands. He expressed that the leftists are not ready to tolerate Lula da Silva's government. At present, the good thing is that the Brazilian army did not commit this audacity and capitalist democracy survived. It is also important to clarify here that this fight is not capitalism versus socialism, but fascism versus capitalist democracy.
What happens next depends on how strict the US and Brazilian administrations take action against these political criminals. It is expected that in January 2021, Donald Trump will have to face the punishment in some form or the other for inciting his supporters and the Lula administration will also deal with it strictly. At present, it is a comforting sign that the heads of government of almost all the countries have condemned, protested or expressed concern about this incident. Our Prime Minister is also included in this.
There is another similarity between these two incidents. Both have the support of the most reactionary factions of the capitalists, religious institutions and pro-racist forces, and the potential for the development of this alliance is visible all over the world. The growing crisis of global capitalism and the lack of a strong communist movement are responsible for this development. The rise of fascism always reminds that while the capitalist class is not in a position to rule normally, the working class is also not capable of snatching power.
Over the past three decades, imperialism has plundered labor to its fullest and the workers have suffered it. But the good thing is that different types of resistance against such arbitrariness have started taking place all over the world. Britain, Europe and America are also witnessing the growing labor movement. These reactionary movements can be countered by bringing all these movements within the political ambit of the working class and giving them the right direction. There is no other permanent option.
People falling prey to capitalist development
(9th Jan. 2023)
- Dr. Ramkavindra
The debate on whether the country is developing or being destroyed has been going on for a long time and will continue for a long time. After the new economic policy adopted under the liberalization, privatization and globalization program in 1991, a new attitude was seen in it. The concept of welfare state was destroyed and the orgy of plunder of imperialism and capitalism began.
However, voices have been raised against this policy since the beginning. Initially this policy was also called the document of new slavery. To divert attention from this controversy, the controversy of caste and religion was raised loudly in the capitalist political circles, in which the controversy of the slavery document was almost drowned. Today's truth is that the politics of religion (Hindutva) has taken over the politics of caste and all the political parties of the capitalist class have been forced to wear the cloak of religion. Yesterday's secular (in fact, liberal Hindu) parties now seem to be moving towards radical Hindutva. The difference is of method and degree.
Whatever may happen, the wheel of anti-people development has not stopped. In the initial phase, its victims were the tribal people of coastal areas and forest hills. By that time people from other states and regions were chanting the development policy. Now he has taken the entire country in his embrace. In 2919-20, the farmers camping on the Delhi border definitely caught hold of the reins of the horse of Ashwamedha Yagya, but could not stop it. The fight of farmers continues even today. In this sequence, the struggle of farmers against the expansion of the airport in Khiriyabagh (Azamgarh) continues.
At present the Sangh Parivar has won the battle. As a result, a new turning point came in 2914 in which the Constitution is under threat. The conspiracy to make the country a staunch Hindu nation has come to light openly. Along with development (literally destruction of workers, farmers and oppressed people), this step has also started to take into its bloody jaws the half-baked capitalist democracy continuing in the country.
The incidents of Joshi Math and Haldwani in Uttarakhand are the inevitable product of this economics and politics. The similarity between both is that both are victims of "development". Joshi Math is being affected by NTPC and Border Road construction while Haldwani is being affected by the expansion of Railways. But there is also inequality between the two. The victims in Joshi Math belong to the majority Hindu community. It is possible that many of them may be in favor of making India a Hindu nation, but they themselves tremble as soon as they fall into the bloody jaws of this development. At the same time, the oppressed 4000 families of Haldwani (Banphoolpura) belong to the minority Muslim community, who are the target of the discrimination policy of the BJP-RSS central and state governments.
Bowing to this policy of the government, the Uttarakhand High Court declared these families in illegitimate possession of the land and passed an order to forcibly remove them. It felt as if the people living on this land for years and generations were just garbage that should be thrown out and the land should be cleaned. This decision is an infamous stain on the man-eating capitalist society and its judicial system, which the Supreme Court has immediately tried to wash off. But this case has raised a policy question related to displacement and rehabilitation before the court. Similarly, the cracks emerging in the homes of the people of Joshimath also demand to resolve the issue of environmental destruction in the name of development with the same intensity. - Kavindra (respectively)
A terrible phase of economic crisis is looming in the country which is likely to become global and the BJP-RSS duo holding the reins of power is dreaming of ensuring their victory in election after election with the help of rhetoric. Earlier they used to sell dreams of five to ten years, but now they have started selling dreams of the entire twenty-five years, which they have named Amrit Kaal. The question starts from here, who will get the pot of nectar of eternal life and who will get the cup of poison?
There is a simple solution to solve this problem. Take a look at his promises, his announcements and their results in the last eight years, the picture will become clear. During the same period, the Prime Minister's friend, capitalist Adani, became the richest in Asia, loans worth about Rs. 10 lakh crores of the capitalists were written off and due to the fugitive capitalists, the country's wealth worth billions was lost. On the other hand, the wages of workers decreased relatively, their trade union rights decreased, the condition of farmers worsened, inflation and unemployment increased and poverty and hunger increased among the people.
Despite all this, it is not so easy to achieve a complete political understanding of this contradictory picture. For this, one will have to master the art of 'seeking truth from facts'. This task becomes difficult because a huge army of hundreds of thousands of capitalist economists, sociologists, politicians and RSS workers is working to conceal the fact.
To mislead the public, BJP and other organizations of the Sangh always have two tricks ready: First, leave the past promises and announcements of BJP out of the discussion and set such far-reaching goals which can be achieved after a few generations. Or maybe not; And secondly, to hide the basic economic needs of the people like livelihood and the economic crisis of the system in the fog of disputes over caste and religion. To fulfill this objective, the government's blaring media is making announcements to the effect that Hindutva is in danger, the country is in danger and in such a situation the demand for livelihood and democracy is tantamount to treason. In the present era of fundamentalist Hindutva in our country, the state power and the Sangh Parivar jointly target three enemies: minorities (especially Muslims and Christians), Dalits and communists. Propaganda continues against all of them and it is obvious that the biggest and most dangerous enemy among them are the Communists.
The most perfect and recent example of first-rate fog is the Prime Minister's speech on the Independence Day of Amrit Mahotsav year in which he showed the dreams after 25 years, but did not even mention the dreams shown eight years ago. Opposition leaders and critics are rightly accusing the Prime Minister of being a dreamer and a catchphrase. But there is a huge group of Sangh Parivar and devotees who will leave no stone unturned in praising their announced plans from Godi media to social media. In this deep darkness of lies, truth gets lost for a while and this 'short while' of human history can be equal to or sometimes more than the active life of a human being. The same thing can be said about the twenty-five years of Amritkaal when whether the Prime Minister will be able to live to answer the hollowness of today's announcements or not. At that time, the final decision about their merits and demerits will be taken by sociologists and historians.
Now let us look at another method of spreading haze. At present, the pro-people economists of the world and the country are expressing concern over the danger of the country's economic crisis, while the anti-people, traitorous elements of the Sangh Parivar are raising noises about the threat to Hindutva. The scene of uproar over Love Jihad, Population Jihad, UPSC Jihad etc. is well known. At present, the issue of entry of Muslim youth and their beating in Dandiya, Gujarat is the most discussed issue. The leading role of Godi Media in this is also well known. On the other hand, a minister of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi is being attacked by the BJP because by participating in the Buddhist initiation ceremony, he repeated Ambedkar's initiation sutras in which he declares his refusal to believe in Hindu gods and goddesses. How surprising it is that under the pressure of BJP's uproar, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has taken the resignation of his minister Rajendra Pal Gautam. With his conduct he once again proved that he has become the B team of RSS.
Obviously, Ambedkar had also refused to believe in Hindu Gods and Goddesses, otherwise why would he have left Hinduism? What a disgusting contradiction that Ambedkar, who speaks and writes against Hindu Gods and Goddesses, is an ideal man for the BJP and Minister Gautam, who behaves in the same manner, has become a man of hatred. The reason for this contradiction is very clear that chanting Ambedkar's name will get Dalit votes and embarrassing this Ambedkarite minister of Aam Aadmi Party will increase votes due to polarization in Gujarat elections. The matter is neither of country, nor of religion or God, the matter is only of the chair. Attractive slogans like nationalism, religion and God are just their tools to grab the power.
In the end, we want to say that when you keep the interrelationship of capital, caste, religion and class at the center in the game of chair (i.e. capture of power) and acquire the art of analysis, then gradually you will remove the fog from the facts and 'truth from fact'. You will also master the art of 'looking for'.
When it comes to development, three things come to the mind of representatives of the capitalist camp (from economists, politicians to thinkers): increase in the growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), increase in inflow of foreign capital and increase in foreign exchange reserves. Growth. These criteria are absolutely one-sided and only take care of the interests of the capitalist class. The interests of the working class and other exploited people are not expressed in them. Neither is it known what is the status of employment generation nor is any information available about the status of public welfare programs (e.g. food, housing, education, medical etc.) in the country. A few days ago there was a news that India's rank in the World Hunger Index is lower than Bangladesh. This is an example of the anti-people aspect of development.
Now, on the basis of the above mentioned three parameters, the economic condition of the country seems to be deteriorating. The growth rate is faltering, the flow of foreign capital is slow and the country's foreign exchange reserves have started decreasing.
The World Bank has reduced the country's growth rate by one percent to 6.5% in the year 2022-23. This figure is one percent less than the estimate of June this year. IMF has also reduced the country's growth rate estimate. It has been reduced from 8.4% to 7.6%. Last year (2021-22) this growth rate was 8.7%. The pro-government economists were elated over this and started dreaming of a bright future, while the economists from the opposing camp were expressing disappointment.
He believed that this figure is good compared to the figure of 2020-21, but we cannot forget that there was a contraction of more than 6% in the economy that year, hence it cannot present the correct picture of the economy. In such a situation, he said that to understand the true situation, it is necessary to compare it with the figures before the Covid pandemic and then this figure of growth rate is only 1.5%. Obviously, this number does not create a situation of boasting. Do.
Let us go beyond the jargon of economists and look at the real size of GDP. India's GDP was ₹ 145.16 lakh crore in the year 2019-20, but it declined to ₹ 135.6 lakh crore in 2020-21. By calculation, this contraction is 6.6% and the lockdown during the pandemic period is responsible for this miserable situation. It is a matter of regret that there is no discussion on this in the government camp, there is no answer to the questions of the opponents.
This picture has been going on for the last three years. International rating agencies have stabilized India's picture at the bottom. It is a matter of satisfaction for the government that this rating is not falling further. Nevertheless, low per capita income and huge debt pressure on the government are responsible for this steadily worsening situation. Yet the government and its economic advisers are confident that they are in a sound position because they have adequate foreign exchange reserves and are able to meet international liabilities. But even in this matter the situation is not very strong. According to the English daily Times of India (October 7, 2022), India's foreign exchange reserves have declined by one hundred billion dollars to 545 billion dollars and are expected to reach 523 billion by the end of this year.
This means that the country's economy is in decline on the above mentioned three parameters of capitalist development. Now even the government spokesperson is forced to accept this truth. Then, to save their face, they resort to the argument that this is a worldwide phenomenon and our situation in it is much better than that of many countries. In this matter they are closer to half-truth. Today's news is in which Jamie Dimon, CEO of America's largest investor bank JP Morgan, has warned the world that a worldwide recession may come in 6-9 months. This apprehension is not of just one person or one institution, but of the world capitalist system. For this they mainly hold three factors responsible: skyrocketing inflation, increase in bank interest rates, Russia Ukraine war.
Representatives of the Indian capitalist class are not in a position to play any decisive role in solving these three world-class problems. It seems, that is why our Prime Minister, being free from all these worries, is busy in awakening the light of Baba Vishwanath and Mahakaal. This does not mean that they are preparing to 'pick up their bags and walk away', on the contrary, they are preparing to make a comeback by molding people into the fascist mold of staunch Hindutva. It is a wonderful irony. Those who wanted to do politics are pretending to be devotion and the saints pretending to be devotion are announcing on the road to teach a lesson to a community. The responsibility of taking the country out of this contradiction rests on the revolutionary and democratic forces.
